Townsend's Warbler

The Townsend's Warbler is a striking songbird with a bold black and yellow face, olive-green back, and vibrant yellow underparts. Found in coniferous forests of western North America, these warblers are known for their energetic foraging, hopping and flitting through branches to catch insects. Their sweet, high-pitched song can be heard echoing through the trees. During migration, they often travel with mixed-species flocks, joining other warblers and small birds. Townsend's Warblers are particularly fond of spruce and fir trees, where they display their dazzling plumage and lively behavior.
