Anna’s Hummingbirds are vibrant, energetic birds commonly found in gardens, parks, and woodlands along the western United States. The males are easily recognized by their iridescent rose-pink throat and crown, which gleam brilliantly in sunlight. Like many hummingbirds, they are fiercely territorial, often seen chasing intruders away from feeders or flowering plants. During courtship, males perform dramatic dives, reaching impressive speeds as they arc through the air.
